It was late and the rain was coming down harder than it looked. The comment of 'pouring buckets' didn't fit as rain normally didn't pour out of buckets in almost sideways torrents.

Laguna shook his head and then his body followed, much like a shaggy dog. He grinned lopsidedly when he seen Squall standing a few feet away, water splattered on his t-shirt from his shaking. "I always wanted to try that. It looks so easy when animals do it."

Squall just shook his head and padded into the living room. Laguna of course followed, stripping himself as he went then stopped sharply and looked up with another lopsided grin. Squall was holding a fuzzy blanket for him but had the look as if he was going to come to him.

"I should have stayed there." Quickly he turned around and scurried to pick up his wet clothing off the floor, mooning the Commander unintentionally. Standing back in the door way the older man called out. "What should I do with these?"

Squall held the blanket in front of his face and bit his lip to stop the chuckle from escaping. "Leave them there. I'll put them in the dryer." The sound of wet clothes hitting the tiles was heard.

Moments later, the blanket was tugged away and Laguna sat on the plush couch with a sigh. His eyes came to rest on a tea pot. "Is that?"

"Yes. Lemon tea. I have a mug for you." Squall handed over a newly poured mug of tea and watched as the older man melted with a happy grin on his face.

"I'm going to toss your clothes in the dryer. There's cake sitting here too." That got a squeal of delight from Laguna.

The Commander picked up the clothes, tossed them in the dryer and came back moments later to find a very sheepish President on the couch. "There's a piece left. I couldn't help myself! I didn't mean to eat so much of it! It was tempting and teasing. I had to shut it up." The smile that grew on the older man's face however clearly stated that he was not really sorry.

"It's okay. I had my fill of it. Enjoy." Laguna smiled and grabbed the remaining slice and dug in.

Sometimes it was nice to brave the storm for company.
