The stop at the market resulted in a fruitful bounty, most of it sat on the table untouched since he had walked through the door; all but a single bite from a crisp apple. It had proven that it was a bit difficult to take care of vegetables and fruits when there was a very naked lover there to greet him. A very naked and playful lover.

His lover laughed, so very coyly and gave that come hither look that melted his knees and all resolve he might have had. Silver smiled happily and followed his lover into the bedroom where she promptly fell upon him, licking and sucking at his lips. He kissed back, slowly and tentatively as it was almost like learning to kiss again.

Part of it was learning to kiss again; he'd never kissed a girl and kissing a girl was indeed different than kissing Thayne or Gabriel who were far more dominant.

Silver really didn't know what to do with himself and his lover laughed softly, teasing him for it, to which he blushed and stammered. Normally hands would go on hips or Gabriel would hold them above his head or behind his back. Thayne, well Thayne stopped touching him after a while, but that was because of his hand.

Their romance was nothing textbook, nor sweet and lovely. It was painful and hurtful and intense. Always intense. From the looks that they gave each other across the room to the mind-blowing, knee melting orgasms that took them late into the night.

The fights were almost always loud and explosive, except when they were the silent and pain filled ones. The sparring was brutal and bone-jarring, leaving both men with cuts and scars that would heal into small white lines on sun kissed or pale skin.

Their quiet moments were filled with intensity that would have shocked those who seen it. They'd lay on the bed, close together and stare at each other. Occasionally one would move in and kiss the other's scar or let their fingertips slide across skin.

For hours the two could lay like that, green eyes staring into grey ones; a gaze broken by slow blinks. It spoke volumes, said words that would never be uttered through voice or sneak past lips on tongue. The look was an "I love you", a "I need you" and the ever present "You're mine."

It was possessive and intense, powerful and yielding, but it was their version of love.

The next morning came too fast. It normally happens like that, when you get orders from those above. We had to pack up our stuff, our meager belongings crammed into packs that held rations and other weaponry. The gun oil would leak sometimes and our clothes would smell like that thick fluid for days on end. Or until we could get our clothes washed. But that's not why I'm telling this.

I wanted to visit her at least one last time. How could I resist when she asked? Oh how I prayed that my leg wouldn't cramp up when I was with her.

We talked well into the night. Watched the bright lights fade and blend into the sunrise. And to my surprise, my leg didn't cramp up once. She put me as ease and had an easy laugh. It was sweet and melodic like her voice.

Before I left her side, I had the bold thought to ask for a kiss. Something to warm my heart while I was away on my orders. Just as she was leaning in, Kiros whipped the door open and pulled me away stating that we would end up missing the convoy.

I never did get a kiss from Julia.

He watched as the motorized vehicles float and be whisked off through the tubes that surrounded the city. He smiled gently as he let his eyes fall upon his people walking, talking, smiling and laughing softly.

A light breeze tugged at the loose strands of hair, letting them fly around his face.

He was the president of a country for almost 20 years; he had been the force of change in a country. He helped change the way the country ran and it was a great run.

Like his time here, he wondered when it would become his time for a change.
